Endoscopic forehead lift

An endoscopic forehead lift is a minimally invasive procedure in which the forehead and eyebrows are raised through a few small incisions in the hair-bearing scalp. Using a camera (endoscope), the surgeon works under direct vision without making a long incision.

Application

The forehead tissue is released from the bone, moved upwards and secured in place. At the same time, the muscles responsible for frown lines can be weakened. The technique is suited to drooping brows and a heavy forehead in people with a normal hairline height.

Good to know

The small scars lie within the hair and are usually barely visible. Swelling generally settles after one to two weeks, and temporary numbness of the scalp is possible. With a very high forehead, a hairline technique is often more suitable. The endoscopic forehead lift is one form of brow lift.
