Thread lifting is a minimally invasive wrinkle treatment in which we can tighten and define entire facial areas. For this, very fine threads are placed in the subcutaneous fatty tissue. The skin is slightly lifted and in this way the facial contour can be easily tightened and smoothed. The entire cheek area, deep eyebrows or drooping corners of the mouth can be gently modelled in this way. The treatment is particularly suitable for tightening the mid-face, the cheek and chin area, for the neck and for deep nasolabial folds. Your face will appear naturally younger, more defined and smoother immediately after application.

Different threads are available depending on the area of the face and the desired effect. The threads themselves dissolve after some time, but the tightening effect remains for many months. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis.

Thread lifting is an effective non-surgical lifting method. At the Swiss Derma Clinic we use special threads that meet the highest quality standards. The threads have the smallest resistances and are placed specifically under the skin with special hollow needles. By gently pulling on the threads, we can gently lift the facial area. The desired degree of tightening can be precisely adjusted. Wrinkles are visibly reduced immediately. The thread material is 100 per cent broken down by the body. The body gradually replaces the foreign material with the body's own collagen. In this way, firmer and tightened connective tissue is created in a natural way. The lifting effect lasts for two to three years.

The thread lift can be supplemented with accentuated hyaluron fillers or botulinum toxin injections.

Thread lifting is an extremely gentle alternative to surgical lifting. The treatment provides a very natural tightening effect and a fresh, youthful appearance. The procedure is painless and unlike conventional lifting, there are no scars. You can return to work immediately after the treatment. Allow a total of about one hour for your lift.

The rejuvenation effect can be seen immediately after the treatment, and the skin smoothes even further over the next few weeks. As the collagen production in the treated skin region increases due to the thread lifting, an additional skin tightening subsequently occurs. After two to three weeks, the maximum result is achieved. The effect lasts for two to three years - in some cases even longer.

Thread lifting is performed with very thin hollow needles and is usually not associated with pain. In most cases we perform the treatment under local anaesthesia - similar to the local anaesthesia at the dentist. The face or the treated skin areas feel numb for a short time after the treatment, but this discomfort subsides over the next few hours.
Minor bruising and possibly minimal swelling may occur around the injection site. These side effects also disappear on their own after a short period of time (one to two days). You can apply a mild cooling agent to the skin.
Intolerances to the thread material used are extremely rare and can be ruled out before the application.

Thread lifting is particularly suitable for light to moderate wrinkles. If the firmness of the connective tissue decreases, then thread lifting is suitable for tightening the sagging skin and firming it through the subsequent collagen storage.
From the age of 30, the elasticity of the skin visibly decreases - thread lifting is particularly suitable for the age group between 35 and 55. In the case of very pronounced wrinkling and sagging tissue, the lifting treatment can be combined with other procedures to achieve better results.

If you are allergic to the thread material or suffer from inflammatory skin diseases, you should choose a different procedure for wrinkle treatment.

Thread lifting can be performed in a very short time. The duration of the treatment, including preliminary discussion and possible aftercare, is hardly more than one hour. If only a small area is treated, then 20 to 30 minutes are sufficient. The result is very natural, the facial skin looks refreshed, fresh and smoothed.

Due to the very fine hollow needles with which we place the threads exactly in the right place, there are only minimal puncture marks. These are no longer visible after just a few days.

Another advantage compared to surgery is that you can continue to be active throughout the day. You can continue your activities, even on the day of the treatment. If there are any bruises or minor swellings, you can cover them with conventional make-up or a concealer.
