Platelet-rich plasma and the vampire facelift in Zurich

A small amount of blood is taken from the patient. The blood plasma obtained by subsequent centrifugation has a very high proportion of platelets and growth factors. The plasma and platelets are now enriched with substances such as amino acids and vitamins and injected into the subcutaneous tissue by a doctor using fine needles. This initiates a natural regeneration process which stimulates the growth of connective tissue cells and collagen production as well as the formation of new vessels.

FAQ

PRP Vampir Lifting

What is a PRP Plasma & Vampire Lift?

PRP plasma lifting (vampire lifting) is one of the minimally invasive wrinkle treatments. The method is relatively new and currently very popular, especially due to its growing popularity with many Hollywood stars. Other terms for vampire lifting are wrinkle treatment with the patient's own blood, plasma lifting and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy. The focus is on the natural regeneration of the skin. For this purpose, platelet-rich plasma is extracted from the patient's own blood and enriched with vitamins and amino acids. The blood plasma also contains regenerating proteins and so-called growth factors. These stimulate the skin's own regeneration, blood circulation and the production of collagen. Finally, we inject the prepared plasma into the skin (subcutaneous fatty tissue) with the finest needles. As a result, the skin structure firms up and becomes visibly smoother and firmer.

PRP plasma lifting is suitable for smoothing fine facial wrinkles as well as for the aesthetic treatment of stretch marks or décolleté wrinkles.

At the Swiss Derma Clinic we also use PRP plasma treatment to stimulate hair growth in cases of hair loss. Hair loss can not only be stopped, but the regrowing hair gets a stronger structure. Other areas of application are the treatment of acne scars and the support of wound healing.

How does the PRP and Vampire Lift work?

The collected autologous blood (blood plasma) is processed in a kind of centrifuge. This produces a plasma that is particularly rich in platelets, proteins (proteins) and growth factors. These substances stimulate the regeneration of skin cells and the production of collagen in the skin. The concentrated plasma is injected into the subcutaneous fatty tissue directly after preparation. As with the filler treatment, the injection is carried out where you would like the skin to be smoothed and tightened. For example, in the cheek area to build up volume.

As a result of the injection, the connective tissue cells are activated - they now produce more collagen and elastin. The synthesis of the skin's own hyaluronic acid also increases, the skin binds more moisture, it becomes smoother and slightly plumped up. Another positive effect is the improved blood circulation: the skin's appearance is clearly fresher and more vital.

Who is the vampire lift suitable for?

PRP plasma lifting (vampire lifting) is suitable for all age groups. The focus here is less on the immediate smoothing of deep wrinkles, but on a fundamental regeneration of the skin structure and an improvement of the overall skin appearance. Since we use natural blood plasma (obtained from the patient's own blood), there is no risk of intolerance. The method is optimal for very sensitive skin. The effects of the lifting treatment at a glance:

  • Improvement of the skin structure
  • Wrinkle smoothing and volume building (e.g. in the area of the cheeks)
  • Tightening of the skin in the face and neck area
  • Smoothing of the skin on the back of the hand
  • Reduction of wrinkles on the décolleté
  • Reduction of stretch marks and stretch marks

Is the PRP Plasma & Vampire Lift painful?

The PRP plasma lifting (vampire lifting) is extremely painless. You will only feel a slight prick from the injections. If desired, we can also pre-treat the skin areas with an anaesthetic ointment at the Swiss Derma Clinic.

What are the advantages of PRP Plasma & Vampire Lifting?

With PRP plasma lifting, we use only natural and endogenous active ingredients - this makes the wrinkle treatment particularly gentle and highly tolerable. The regeneration of the skin is actively stimulated by the injection of processed autologous blood plasma. The results are a lasting improvement in tone, elasticity and a finer skin structure.

At the Swiss Derma Clinic we perform the lifting on an outpatient basis. You only need to plan for one hour, including pre- and post-treatment. After one to two days you can go back to your daily activities as usual. Another advantage of PRP plasma lifting is the long-lasting success of the treatment. In many cases the skin smoothing effect lasts for one to two years. This effect can be further extended by combining it with other aesthetic and cosmetic treatments (e.g. hyaluron filler and microneedling).

The advantages of PRP Plasma & Vampire Lifting at a glance:

  • No incompatibilities due to the use of the body's own active substances.

  • Outpatient and minimally invasive procedure.

  • Natural rejuvenation, with an improvement of the entire skin structure.

  • Socially acceptable again after one to two days.

When will I see the result and how often should the lifting be repeated?

The vampire lift unfolds its full effect in the weeks following the application. As a rule, you will see the first results after about one week. On average, the full effect is achieved after about four weeks. The tightening effects of PRP lifting last for about 12 to 18 months.

When treating increased hair loss, it can take a few weeks after the first application before you notice the first effects. These are shown in a decrease in hair loss and in an increased regrowth of hair. The hair structure becomes noticeably stronger.

What side effects are to be expected?

As with all aesthetic treatments, undesirable side effects can also occur here. The treatment is usually well tolerated due to the use of natural and endogenous substances. As no synthetic substances are injected, allergies and intolerances are extremely rare. Slight to moderate redness, swelling or bruising may occur in connection with the injections. These depend on individual skin sensitivity and rarely last longer than one or two days. If necessary, you can carefully cool the affected areas of skin.

What costs should I expect?

The costs start at around 550 EUR and depend on the number of sessions and the size of the skin areas.
