That depends on whether there is a medical indication. Medically indicated services are billed through the compulsory basic health insurance; as with any medical treatment, your deductible and co-payment apply. Purely aesthetic treatments are paid privately. Depending on the findings, the same treatment can fall into either category – we tell you which applies to your case before treatment begins.
All prices can be found in our price list. What your treatment costs specifically depends on the findings, the area treated and the amount of product or number of sessions required – which is why the list often gives starting prices. You receive the binding price before treatment begins, and in writing for larger procedures. A medical consultation in aesthetic medicine costs CHF 100; a cosmetic consultation is free of charge.
Non-attendance at a regular consultation will be charged at CHF 100, for treatments 50% of the treatment price will be charged.

No, the Swiss Derma Clinic is not a walk-in practice. However, if you require treatment at short notice, you are welcome to contact us by telephone to arrange a prompt appointment.
Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled by phone, email, WhatsApp or via the contact form. Please note that cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment so that no fees are incurred.

Yes, we perform various skin operations professionally in our certified practice operating theater.
Although aesthetic medicine is a focus of our practice, we also offer comprehensive dermatological treatments at the highest medical level.
We begin with your concern and your history: how long it has existed, what you have already tried, which medication you take. The examination follows. For skin cancer screening we assess the entire skin with a dermatoscope and photograph any conspicuous moles; allow 20 to 30 minutes for this. There is always a concrete next step at the end: treatment, a follow-up check or further investigation. If a procedure is needed, we discuss the process, the alternatives and the costs beforehand.
For aesthetic treatments the consultation is the first step: we assess the findings, discuss the options and set the price bindingly. A medical consultation in aesthetic medicine costs CHF 100; a cosmetic consultation is free of charge. For dermatological concerns the consultation is also the examination appointment, so no separate consultation is required.
That depends on the procedure. Some treatments show their result from the first session, others build it up over a course, and others again need regular top-ups for the effect to last. How many sessions make sense in your case is something we tell you after the assessment – together with the total cost, so that you do not only know the price of a single session.
Currently available slots are shown in real time in our online booking and can be booked directly. For urgent concerns – such as a rapidly growing, bleeding or painful skin lesion – please call us. We try to accommodate these cases at short notice.
Yes, many procedures complement each other. What matters is the sequence and the intervals, so that healing phases do not overlap and each effect can be judged on its own: some we carry out on the same day, others we deliberately separate by a few weeks. For treatments that work best as a course, there are course and subscription prices. We discuss which ones suit you during the consultation.
This depends greatly on the procedure and ranges from being presentable immediately to several days with visible redness or swelling; small bruises are possible after injections. If you have an important occasion coming up, it is best to allow two weeks of buffer. We tell you the downtime for your treatment during the consultation, before you decide.
Yes. A considerable share of our treatments is taken up by men – from skin cancer screening through hair removal and hair loss to wrinkle treatment and skin tightening. Topics that concern men in particular are collected under Focus on men.
Your skin should not be freshly tanned before a treatment: with laser and pigment treatments, tanned skin increases the risk of pigment changes, and sunburn is a reason to postpone the appointment. After treatment, consistent high-factor sun protection applies, in some cases for several weeks. We tell you how long to avoid the sun for your particular treatment.
Yes. With darker skin types – levels IV to VI on the Fitzpatrick scale – the choice of procedure and device settings is decisive, because the risk of pigment changes is higher. We then work with suitable devices and more cautious parameters. Which procedures are appropriate for your skin is something we clarify before treatment.
Some are, some are not. Cleansing, hydrating and soothing treatments are generally unproblematic. We avoid a range of active substances and device-based procedures entirely during this time. Please let us know before your appointment that you are pregnant or breastfeeding – we will then adapt the approach or postpone the treatment where that makes more sense.
Yes, in the dermatological field. Children’s skin behaves differently from adult skin, and many conditions present differently in childhood; we treat in an age-appropriate way and with the gentlest possible methods. Aesthetic procedures are carried out on minors only in justified exceptional cases and with the consent of those holding parental responsibility.
Please come without make-up if possible, and for skin cancer screening also without nail polish on fingers and toes. Avoid shaving or hair removal in the treatment area for 24 hours beforehand. Your insurance card, a list of your medication and any previous findings are helpful. Whether you should pause certain skincare products beforehand depends on the planned treatment – we tell you when the appointment is made.
