Baby Botox, or micro Botox, refers to the use of botulinum toxin in particularly small doses. The goal is not to freeze facial expression but simply to soften muscle activity slightly, so the face stays mobile and natural.
Application
The technique is mainly used for fine lines on the forehead, between the brows or around the eyes, often in younger people as a preventive measure. In the micro Botox variant, highly diluted amounts are placed very superficially at many points, which can influence pore appearance, oil production and shine. The treatment itself takes only a few minutes.
Good to know
The effect starts after a few days and, because of the low dose, often wears off sooner than a standard treatment, usually within a few months. Small areas of redness or bruising at the injection sites are possible. Deep, established wrinkles usually cannot be smoothed adequately with small doses alone. The approach is closely related to the idea of prejuvenation.
