Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty in Zurich (Löwenstrasse)

Small changes to the shape of the nose do not always require surgery. Irregularities along the bridge, a flat nasal bridge or a slightly drooping tip can often be balanced with hyaluronic acid. Filler may also be suitable when the aim is to create more harmonious nasal contours.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty with hyaluronic acid is suitable only for selected, subtle changes. Whether it is appropriate in an individual case and what result can realistically be expected can be determined only after a specialist medical examination.

Key facts

For non-surgical rhinoplasty, we use a specific hyaluronic acid filler to refine the nasal contour. Carefully placed injections can visually balance a small hump, build up a flat bridge or support the nasal tip. The method is suitable only for selected findings. It cannot make the nose smaller or correct functional breathing problems.

When is non-surgical rhinoplasty suitable?

  • minor irregularities or a small hump on the nasal bridge
  • a flat nasal bridge
  • a slightly drooping nasal tip
  • minor asymmetry
  • small refinements after nose surgery when no further operation is required

When is hyaluronic acid not suitable for nose reshaping?

The possible changes are limited. Surgical rhinoplasty is generally more appropriate for:

  • a nose that is considered too large
  • a very wide nose
  • a pronounced deviated septum
  • functional breathing problems
  • major changes in shape following injury
  • a permanent reduction in nose size
  • more pronounced asymmetry

How does the treatment work?

At the Swiss Derma Clinic, we shape the nasal contour with a hyaluronic acid filler selected for controlled contouring and distribution in the tissue. It is injected at carefully defined points.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is medically demanding and should be performed only by experienced doctors. Our specialists have specific expertise and experience in this treatment area.

How long do the results last?

The result generally lasts between 9 and 18 months. The body then gradually breaks down the hyaluronic acid. The contour change is visible immediately. Mild swelling or redness around the injection sites is normal during the first hours or days and usually subsides on its own.

What risks and side effects are possible?

As with any filler treatment or medical procedure, risks include minor bruising or redness. Vascular injury or occlusion is rare but possible. We explain the risks in detail during your consultation at our practice in Zurich, and you can contact us at any time if you have questions or concerns.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty in Zurich – FAQ

FAQ

Non-surgical rhinoplasty in Zurich – FAQ

When can I return to normal social activities after non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Usually immediately. Mild swelling or small bruises at the injection sites may occur and generally subside within a few days. If necessary, they can be covered with make-up. Avoid exercise, saunas and intense heat for a few days.

Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved?

Hyaluronic acid filler can generally be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase, for example if the result needs to be corrected or a medical complication occurs.

Who is not suitable for non-surgical rhinoplasty?

The treatment is not suitable when the nose needs to be reduced, functional breathing problems need to be corrected or pronounced deformities need treatment. It may also be unsuitable in the presence of certain medical conditions or active inflammation in the treatment area.

Can non-surgical rhinoplasty replace an operation?

This depends on the individual findings. Minor contour irregularities can often be balanced effectively with hyaluronic acid. More extensive changes or the wish for a smaller nose generally require surgical rhinoplasty.

Can the treatment be performed after nose surgery?

Once healing is fully complete, small residual irregularities or asymmetries may, where appropriate, be corrected with hyaluronic acid.

Why is the nose a particularly demanding treatment area?

The nose contains a dense network of small blood vessels. Treatment therefore requires exact anatomical knowledge and extensive experience with hyaluronic acid fillers. Careful examination and a safe injection technique are essential. Arrange your consultation at the Swiss Derma Clinic in Zurich.

Can non-surgical rhinoplasty be repeated?

The body gradually breaks down the hyaluronic acid. The treatment can be refreshed when appropriate. How long the result lasts depends on the treatment area, tissue characteristics and individual metabolism.
