A more beautiful lip contour, a smoother surface, a natural lip shape and fewer lip wrinkles: the Lip Laser is a new type of laser treatment for lip enhancement – and our method of choice when it comes to improving the structure of the lips. Without needles. Without excess volume. For an aesthetically defined lip structure.

When and why we use the lip laser

Lip Laser is a BioBoost for the lips. We apply fine low-energy laser pulses in the red-white borderline (vermilion border) of the lip skin and around the lips. The pulses activate the fibroblasts in the skin. These are the cells that produce collagen and elastin and ensure that our lips are smooth, plump and well-formed – and do not dry out. The laser also stimulates blood circulation in the lip tissue.

The results:

  • Plumper lips with a natural lip shape
  • clear contours
  • Smoothed lip wrinkles in the upper and lower lip area
  • Natural rosé glow
  • Plumping effect due to new collagen
  • Lip laser = regenerative stimulation → new collagen formation + better blood circulation + smoother surface.
No filler, no blockage of facial expressions, no change in lip shape.

Who is the Lip Laser suitable for?

Early loss of volume or „tired“ lips without a clear contour

Smoker’s lines, creases and fine wrinkles around the mouth

Irregular texture (rough surface, fine cracks)

Prevention: for a stable lip structure

After filler treatments or as a supplement

When the Lip Laser is not an option: The Lip Laser is not suitable for acute inflammation, active herpes lesions or immediately after invasive procedures in the treatment area (individual clarification takes place in the consultation in Zurich).

Natural lip modeling

At Swiss Derma, we recommend the following treatment intervals. These may vary depending on the condition of your skin:

Sessions: at least 5 treatments, each 3 to 4 weeks apart
During the treatment:
slight feeling of warmth and possibly tingling
Downtime: none (occasional slight, short-term redness)

Effect:

Immediately after the session: subtle, short-term plumping effect, freshness boost.

From approx. session 3: visible structure build-up, the lips appear fuller, the contour cleaner.

After completion: The result stabilizes in the weeks following application; refreshing recommended depending on skin condition.

What is realistic? (and what is not)

The lip laser sculpts and tightens the lips. It does not change the shape of the lips and does not fill the lips like a hyaluronic filler, for example.
The quality of the lip skin and the contour can improve significantly as a result of the treatment. The lips appear livelier, smoother and more moisturized. After a few applications, the lip area appears visibly fresher and the contour more defined.

Why Lip Laser for prevention?

Collagen and elastin decrease measurably from the third decade of life; micro-injuries, UV light, lifestyle – all of these accelerate the process. The Lip Laser has a preventative effect: it stabilizes the fine lip matrix before wrinkles develop and maintains elasticity before the contour becomes blurred.

Combinations at the Swiss Derma Clinic

If necessary, the Lip Laser can be combined with other treatments, for example:

  • RF-Needling (medical): for fine upper lip wrinkles for additional skin tightening (promotes collagen production).
  • Medical cosmetics : B. chemical peelings and barrier strengthening for the skin around the lips.
  • Skinbooster with special hyaluronic acids: no classic „injections“, intensive moisturizing treatment for lips and lip area.
  • Prophylaxis in case of herpes tendency: if necessary, individual antiviral treatment.

Good for you to know
The lip laser has no effect on natural facial expressions.

The Lip Laser strengthens collagen and elastin

The Lip Laser is one of the most modern aesthetic treatments for beautiful and healthy lips. We strengthen what is already there: collagen, elastin, hyaluron and blood circulation in the lip tissue. The result does not look „done“, but harmonious. And that’s exactly what we like to see at the Swiss Derma Clinic in Zurich.

Would you like to know whether the Lip Laser is right for your lips?

We would be happy to discuss your ideas and the expected effects of the various treatment approaches with you. Arrange your appointment in Zurich here.

FAQ

What should I look out for after the lip laser?

The Lip Laser is very well tolerated. Nevertheless, we recommend the following measures:

  • apply UV protection for 24 to 48 hours, no sauna or hot baths on the same day
  • Mild, fragrance-free care around the mouth
  • Do not exfoliate lips aggressively; instead use moist compresses or an occlusive care product (mask) if you feel dry
  • If there is a tendency towards herpes: prophylaxis if necessary (clarify with your specialist practice in advance)

What do I feel during the Lip Laser?

You may notice a warm tingling sensation; most people find the treatment relatively pleasant.

Can you see results immediately after the lip laser?

The immediate effects range from freshness due to increased blood circulation to structural improvements and subtle plumping. The long-term effect then gradually builds up over the coming weeks, from around the 3rd session.

Is my lip shape changing?

The Lip Laser does not change the shape of the lips. The contour itself becomes more defined and clearer, the lips are smoothed. This makes the shape appear more beautiful and clearer.

Can I work, eat and put on make-up straight afterwards?

A slight reddening is normal and subsides quickly. You should not apply lipstick on the same day. Eating and working are no problem.

And if I do want volume, what treatment is available?

We will be happy to advise you on gentle filler options for the lips – also in combination or alternating with the lip laser. For example, we have special hyaluronic acids available for natural lip plumping.

When is the Lip Laser particularly recommended?

At the Swiss Derma Clinic we recommend the laser:

  • for all those who want to improve the structure of their lips and lip contour
  • for people who want a painless and effective treatment of the lips.
  • for a quick and subtle embellishment before events (wedding, stage, camera): discreet effects, without downtime.
  • for the prevention of an aesthetic lip contour and a naturally beautiful lip structure.
