Marionette lines

Mario­net­te lines are the lines that run down­wards from the cor­ners of the mouth towards the chin. The name comes from their resem­blan­ce to the mova­ble lower jaw of a marionette.

Appli­ca­ti­on

Tre­at­ment is usual­ly with hyalu­ro­nic acid, pla­ced along the line and in the chin area. In addi­ti­on, a mus­cle that pulls the cor­ner of the mouth down­wards can be rela­xed with botu­li­num toxin so that the mouth cor­ners are not drawn down.
