Hyaluronic acid is a molecule produced by the body itself that binds water and gives connective tissue volume and firmness. Over the years its concentration in the skin decreases and the face loses contour. As a filler, hyaluronic acid is used in cross-linked form so that it stays in place for longer.
Application
Depending on the degree of cross-linking, a product suits different tasks: fine gels for superficial lines and lips, firmer gels for building up the cheeks, chin and jawline. Nasolabial folds and marionette lines are also evened out with it.
Good to know
The result is visible immediately. Depending on the product and the area it lasts six to eighteen months, after which the substance is broken down. One advantage over other filling materials: hyaluronic acid can be dissolved again in a targeted way using the enzyme hyaluronidase.
