Cryolipolysis

In cryolipolysis, a fold of fat is drawn into an applicator and cooled in a controlled way to around minus five to minus ten degrees. Fat cells react more sensitively to cold than skin, nerves or muscles and are destroyed as a result.

Application

It suits well-defined fat deposits on the abdomen, flanks, thighs or under the chin that do not respond to exercise and diet. A session lasts 35 to 70 minutes depending on the area.

Good to know

The destroyed fat cells are broken down over weeks and the result appears after two to three months. The procedure is not a method of weight loss but of shaping individual areas. Temporary numbness in the treated area is common.
