CO2 laser

The CO2 laser works at a wave­length of 10,600 nano­me­t­res, which is stron­gly absor­bed by water in the tis­sue. It remo­ves tis­sue and at the same time gene­ra­tes heat at depth, which pro­mo­tes tightening.

Appli­ca­ti­on

It is regard­ed as the most effec­ti­ve pro­ce­du­re for deep wrink­les, pro­no­un­ced acne scars and sun-dama­ged skin. Benign skin lesi­ons such as sebor­rho­eic kera­to­ses or fibrom­as can also be remo­ved precisely.

Good to know

The tre­at­ment is car­ri­ed out under local anaes­the­tic. Heal­ing takes seven to ten days, and red­ness can per­sist for seve­ral weeks. Par­ti­cu­lar cau­ti­on is requi­red with dar­ker skin types, as the risk of pig­ment chan­ges increases.
