Bio-remodelling

Bio-remo­del­ling descri­bes a pro­ce­du­re in which high­ly con­cen­tra­ted, non-cross-lin­ked hyalu­ro­nic acid is injec­ted at a few defi­ned points and then spreads through the tis­sue. The best-known pro­duct is Profhilo.

Appli­ca­ti­on

Usual­ly five set points per side of the face are trea­ted, from which the mate­ri­al spreads out. The neck, décol­le­té and upper arms can be trea­ted in the same way. Two ses­si­ons four weeks apart are standard.

Good to know

The pro­ce­du­re tar­gets skin qua­li­ty and firm­ness, not volu­me. It suits peo­p­le who express­ly do not want a visi­ble chan­ge to the shape of the face. Buil­ding col­la­gen and elas­tin takes time; the result matures over rough­ly two months.
