Why lymph-activating skincare?

The skin’s lymphatic system is part of a finely branched vessel network. It transports excess interstitial fluid and pro-inflammatory substances away, contributing significantly to skin balance. It also supports resistance and regenerative capacity. When lymphatic flow slows—due to ageing, medical procedures, or environmental factors—swelling and uneven skin texture are common. Iräye is the world’s first “decongesting” skincare line.

Use at Swiss Derma Clinic

At Swiss Derma Clinic Zurich, we also use Iräye in combination with selected treatments:

  • For swelling and malar bags in the eye area, e.g., after aesthetic procedures.
  • Post-treatment care after injections (hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin, biostimulators), laser, or fat-dissolving injections. Side effects such as swelling subside more quickly and the complexion clears.
  • For skin redness and irritation, where the new Red Cream (available exclusively at our practice from September 2025) provides additional calming.
  • For cellulite and loss of firmness on the body (including so-called “heavy legs”), supported by the Body Cream and, on request, combined with brush massages. Active botanicals include goldenrod, horse chestnut, and butcher’s broom.

Note: We recommend an individual consultation and a personalized selection of products.

Safety, suitability, limitations

  • Tolerability: Depending on the product, active ingredients include vitamin C, (bio)retinol, caffeine, and plant extracts. For sensitive skin, we recommend a gradual introduction; please ensure adequate sun protection.
  • Not suitable: for acute dermatoses, open lesions, active inflammation, or known intolerances.
  • Realistic expectations: malar bags or chronically swollen lower lids may require additional aesthetic or medical treatment.
  • Brush or gua sha: gentle pressure can enhance Iräye’s effects. Please speak with us if you tend toward couperose or rosacea.

FAQ

iraye faq

How quickly can I expect results with Iräye?

With mild swelling and regular use—always depending on your individual skin—you may notice initial effects after about two weeks. As with any skincare that supports skin function, consistency is key. The goal is to support the lymphatic system continuously. In some cases, additional lymphatic drainage, massage, or ultrasound therapy may be helpful.

Does Iräye help with malar bags?

For swelling and oedema caused by fluid retention, Iräye can promote decongestion. This is often the case with malar bags, which typically “sit” on the cheekbone. For anatomically caused bulges or fat deposits, however, the effect is limited. In such cases, our specialist physicians will advise on suitable treatment combinations.

Is Iräye useful after injections or laser treatments?

Yes—this is recommended in many cases. Especially after injections (e.g., fillers), laser treatments, microneedling, or injection lipolysis, supporting the lymphatic system is beneficial. Swelling can subside more quickly, and skin regeneration is stimulated. The precise timing and product choice depend on skin condition.

How do I use Iräye in daily life?

The products are designed for daily skincare. Whether eye cream, face cream, or body lotion, they can be integrated into your morning and evening routine. Complementary tools such as gentle massage with a brush or gua sha are possible but not strictly necessary.

Is the skincare suitable for sensitive skin?

As a rule, lymph-activating skincare is also suitable for sensitive skin. Some products contain active ingredients such as vitamin C or (bio)retinol, which are very effective but should be introduced gradually. Daytime sun protection is important, especially when using retinoid-containing products.

Our Q&A texts are by no means a substitute for a medical consultation. For an individual and well-founded medical assessment, we recommend a personal consultation at the Swiss Derma Clinic. We are happy to take the time for you!
