Liquid facelift

Liquid facelift does not describe a single treatment but an approach: instead of injecting individual wrinkles, the face is considered as a whole and volume is added where it has been lost.

Application

Typically the temples, cheeks, chin and jawline are built up with hyaluronic acid. Restoring volume in the upper thirds of the face relieves the tissue below, so that nasolabial folds and marionette lines become less noticeable.

Good to know

The term contains the word lift, but no tightening in the surgical sense takes place. Slack skin is not removed. Where there is advanced excess skin, surgical tightening remains the more effective procedure.
