Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty) in Zurich

Tired, heavy or drooping eyelids often make the face look older and more exhausted – regardless of how you feel. Blepharoplasty (surgical eyelid lifting) is a proven surgical procedure to open up and rejuvenate the look without changing the natural facial expressions. At the Swiss Derma Clinic, eyelid lifting is performed with medical precision, individually planned and with the highest aesthetic standards.

When does an eyelid lift make sense?

An eyelid lift can be useful in the following cases

  • drooping upper eyelids (drooping eyelids)
  • tired or sad facial expression
  • Excess skin around the eyes
  • Restriction of the field of vision
  • genetic predisposition

The aim is not a changed face, but an open, relaxed and natural look.

FAQ

Is an eyelid lift painful?

The procedure is generally well tolerated. After surgery, most patients experience only mild pain or a feeling of tightness.

Will there be visible scars?

Incisions are placed in natural eyelid creases and typically heal very discreetly.

How long do the results last?

Results usually last for many years. The natural aging process won’t stop, but it can be significantly slowed.

Are there any risks?

As with any surgical procedure, risks such as swelling, bruising, or infection can occur. These are explained transparently during your consultation.

Does health insurance cover the costs?

Only in cases of clear medical indication (e.g., proven restriction of the visual field). This is assessed individually.

Our Q&A texts are by no means a substitute for a medical consultation. For an individual and well-founded medical assessment, we recommend a personal consultation at the Swiss Derma Clinic. We are happy to take the time for you!
