Miss Universe Switzerland 2025: A highly emotional finale full of glitz and glamor

It’s just after eight. In the Kursaal Bern, the spotlights bathe the hall in warm light. The music starts – and an evening begins that twenty young women have been working towards for months.Right in the middle of the action: Dr. Lia Georgouli, Medical Director of the Swiss Derma Clinic. Today she is in the spotlight, not as a doctor, but as co-host of this year’s Miss Universe Switzerland Gala. Supported by great presenters and an enthusiastic audience. And a top-class jury, all experts from science, aesthetics, medicine and industry. The finale full of glamor and great emotions has begun.

From casting to the show stage

„The finalists‘ path from the first casting to the big show stage was also a path of development and self-discovery – and I was allowed to accompany them from the very beginning.
First as a member of the casting jury. In May, we then invited the twenty finalists to the Swiss Derma Clinic for the Skin Quality Masterclass in Zurich. A day that focused on skincare tips, make-up, regeneration and mindfulness. And how to remain authentic even in the spotlight. Our aim was to make the finalists‘ skin glow. Co-hosting the final is a very emotional experience for me“
Lia Georgouli, Medical Director Swiss Derma Clinic

The big gala in the Kursaal Bern

On September 27, 2025, the time had come. The stage, the audience, the excitement and the clicking of the cameras – it all came together to create an evening to remember.Dr. Georgouli and her presentation partner led the audience through the program, accompanied by music, dancing and a festive three-course meal. In the audience: colleagues and very personal supporters – above all her fiancé Olaf Reitmaier, management assistant Stefanie Beil and employee Ana Vujanovic, who was celebrating her birthday that evening.

After the first rounds and stage performances, it was clear who had made it into the top 10. It was a moment filled with applause and emotion. A little later, the top 5 were announced. The tension in the hall rose and you could literally hear a pin drop. And finally the grand finale: the top 3 were announced:

🥇 Naima Costa, the new Miss Universe Switzerland 2025,
🥈 Lisa Barras,
🥉 Mélina Malonga Matouba.

A look behind the scenes: Passion in all areas

And what really made this evening so special was also evident backstage: passion, teamwork and attention to detail.
Everyone worked hand in hand: make-up professionals, stylists and lighting and sound technicians.

„This close collaboration and the personal commitment of each individual was incredibly fascinating.“ Lia Georgouli

An evening with a lasting impression

As the applause died away at the end of the evening, a feeling of gratitude remained.
For the encounters, the exchange, the trust – and once again for the realization that aesthetics and attitude are not mutually exclusive, but mutually reinforcing.

„These women have shown that beauty and strength belong together. And that healthy skin beautifies, not changes.“ Lia Georgouli
