Euderma (normal skin)

Euderma refers to the condition of healthy, normal skin with a balanced appearance. The term comes from the Greek, where „eu“ means good and „derma“ means skin. In eudermia, the sebum and moisture balance are in equilibrium and the skin is neither too dry nor too oily. This skin condition is considered ideal and is mainly found in younger people, but can also be maintained in old age through genetic predisposition and proper care. Healthy skin shows various characteristic features. The pores are fine and inconspicuous, the complexion is smooth, even and uniform. The complexion appears rosy and fresh, the skin has a natural elasticity and resilience. The skin surface appears matt without excessive shine and shows no flaking. The skin feels supple and soft and has a natural resistance to environmental influences. There are no or very few blemishes and the skin does not react hypersensitively to care products or external irritants. Appropriate care is also important for normal skin. Gentle cleansing in the morning and evening with mild, pH-neutral products removes dirt and excess sebum without damaging the skin barrier. A light moisturizer keeps the skin supple and protects it from drying out. Sun protection with at least sun protection factor 30 is also essential for normal skin to prevent premature ageing and skin damage. It is important to remember that skin type can change over the course of a lifetime. With increasing age, the skin often becomes drier as sebum production decreases. Hormonal changes, stress, climate or illness can also affect the appearance of the skin. Skin care should therefore be regularly adapted to current needs. A balanced diet, sufficient fluid intake and a healthy lifestyle help to maintain normal, healthy skin.
